Grade on Slab
Reinforcement must be provided Reinforcement may or may not be provided
Slab is supported on columns Doesn’t requires footings to support
Requires proper scaffolding It doesn’t require scaffolding to construct
It requires  props and support to cast Minimal usage of formwork. Batter boards are used at corners of slab
Ordinary slab has uniform thickness The thickness of slab is increased at the edges of slab. (Perimeter)
Expansion joints are not required Expansion joints are provided at the edges of slab
Rests on floor beams Rests on earth and it doesn’t requires beams to support
